Holidays: Mothers Day Menu

Menu Guide for Mother's Day

According to Hallmark, about 96% of American consumers take part in some way in Mother's Day. For many restaurants, Mother's Day is the busiest day of the year, so it's a perfect opportunity to offer customers something different, special and new. Choose foods that are simple and complimentary. When designing your menus, think light, cool and fresh.

Mother's Day

Breakfast & Brunch

Eggs & Cheese

Bread & Pastry

Salads & Dressings

Offer traditional green salads alongside decorative salads created with edible flowers. Serve with vinaigrette dressing.

Appetizers Dips & Spreads

Display an assortment of dips on bread and pastry tables, as a stand-alone featured area with fresh fruit and vegetables, or as signature starters on appetizer menus.

Main Entree

Menu traditional meats alongside chicken and seafood delicacies.

Sauces & Dips

Offer small bowls on Main Entree brunch/buffet tables or drizzle over the dish itself.

Side Dishes

Compliment Main Entree items with potatoes and vegetables.

Desserts

Whatever style of dessert presentation you choose (cart or table), make sure to decorate with chocolate covered strawberries and fresh edible flowers.

Beverages

  • For a simple, yet elegant drink, just add a strawberry to a glass of champagne.
  • Make Mimosas with freshly squeezed orange juice for tasty results.
  • Add a dash of Cream de Casis to a glass of chilled Champagne for a Kir Royale.
  • For a Royal cocktail, add a dash of Chambord to the champagne.
  • The Bellini is an Italian delight. Just add a dash of peach juice or peach liquor to a sparkling glass of champagne.
  • Blended and frozen drinks are also popular, but try to serve them in smaller, dainty glasses, particularly if the menu is brunch or buffet oriented. Frozen beverages should compliment, not replace, the food menu.
